The Greater Parish of St. Andrew, after 10 years of ministry together, is becoming two Parishes - The Parish of the Lower Laurentians encompassing Christ Church, Mille Isles, Holy Trinity, Lakefield, St. Aidan’s, Louisa and St. Paul’s, Dunany. The Parish of Lachute which will encompass St. Simeon’s in Lachute. The Mother Church, Christ Church, St Andre d’Argenteuil will be part of the Greater Parish of Montreal.
The first Celebration of New Ministry will be held for the Rev’d. Jack Hyde on Pentecost Sunday, May 23rd, 2010 at Christ Church, Mille Isles, QC at 2:00 P.M. with a reception to be held afterwards in the Hall. This will be a new beginning for the Parish of the Lower Laurentians and we look forward to it!
The next celebration will be held at St. Simeon’s Church Lachute, QC at 10:00 A.M. with the Rev’d. Audrey Morrison presiding and a celebration of Holy Eucharist commemorating the 10 year ministry of the Greater Parish of St. Andrew and the 20 year association of St. Simeon’s and St. Paul’s. A reception will be held afterwards in the church hall.
On Sunday June 6th, 2010 the Celebration of new Ministry will be held for the Rev’d Paul Tidman at 4:00 P.M. at St. Simeon’s Church, Lachute, QC. This will be the only service at St. Simeon’s on that Sunday and we look forward to a new beginning for the Parish of Lachute. A reception will be held following the service in the church hall.
The Annual service at Christ Church, St. Andrews East, QC will be held on June 13th, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. The Venerable Edward Simonton OGS will be celebrant and preacher at this annual celebration. All are welcome.
